John Deere Gator Utility Vehicles

The John Deere Range of utility vehicles includes the popular John Deere Gator utility vehicles, first released in 1993. Less expensive than some utility vehicles it is less usable off road than some others but is an excellent all round utility vehicle for use around the ranch, farm or worksite. Several different models are available grouped into three series Compact, Traditional and High Performance.

Compact CX Model

John Deere Gator CX The Compact CX is designed primarily for use around the home or for light duty. The John Deere Gator CX is equipped with a 286 cc (9.5 hp) single cylinder, air cooled 4-cycle Kawasaki gas engine. Superior acceleration and towing and hauling ability is afforded by the precision engineered drive train which optimises the engines power. It has excellent maneuverability with a tight 19 ft turning circle and easily fits into garages, maneuvers around obstacles and fits into the bed of full-size pick up trucks. The cargo box holds up to 400lbs with a 5.0 cubic foot capacity. A huge range of attachments includes pull behind sprayers, cargo power lifts, lights, hauling packages, dog boxes and many more.

Traditional TS, TX and TH Models

Designed for a heavier work load than the Compact the Traditional series Gator’s feature air-cooled, single cylinder, 4-cycle Kawasaki gasoline engine from 351 cc (11.1 hp) for the TS model, to 675 cc (19 h) for the TH model. There are also two diesel versions available. Towing capacity varies from 900 lb (408 kg) to 1,400 lb (635 kg) on level terrain. The cargo box capacity varies from 10.1 cu ft for the TS model to 11.2 cu ft for the TH model. All the models have a top speed of 20 MPH.
List Price: $6,569.00 to $8,479.00

High Performance HPX Models

These models are designed for heavy duty work and have with 4 wheel drive, CVT automatic transmission and full front and rear suspension. They come with either a 617 cc (20hp), liquid-cooled, twin cylinder, 4-cycle Kawasaki gasoline engine or a 854 cc (20.8 hp), three-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-cycle Yanmar diesel engine. Will cope with the most difficult task with the payload and towing capacity of 1,400 lb (635 kg). The continuously variable transmission has two gears, low gear (up to 12mph) for pulling, towing, or hauling and high gear (up to 25mph) for transporting. The low center of gravity ensures stability and the enhanced 4-wheel suspension is designed for extra comfort on uneven terrain.
