The envelope style is rectangular, the saddlebag style square. Post Mounted copper Mailboxes Post mounted copper mailboxes are attached to posts and mounted close to the curb. These types of copper mailboxes come in a wide variety of designs and styles. Some have a newspaper holder and double doors to allow the mail to be picked up from the side walk. Materials Copper mailboxes are made of either galvanised steel or cast aluminium and painted with a metallic paint. They are rust resistant and will look good for many years. Copper Mailbox Styles Copper mailboxes often have decorative pictures or nature scene depicted on the front. Some companies will add your name and address to the mailbox.
